A Day of Field Work and Wild Food Preparation presented by The Seed Guild
Sunday , July 28 // 9A-4P
Experienced as well as novice foragers will enjoy this day long immersion led by 20+yr veteran wild food forager, Linda Conroy of Moonwise Herbs. We will focus on plant identification, harvesting etiquette as well as wild food preparation techniques that increase nutrient density. This workshop will culminate in a delicious meal that we prepare together with the edibles we forage in the field.
Participants will also be creating their own unique herbal concoction to take home. Foraging and food preparation will never be the same after this unique hands-on immersion.
We will gather rain or shine. Please plan for and bring: a water bottle and notebook & writing utensil.
If you have any dietary restrictions, please bring a snack that is safe for you to eat. The meal we will share will be mostly plant based.
Timeline:
9:00-Noon Indoor workshop, plant walk & field harvest
Noon-2:00 Seasonal wild lunch, kitchen demos & recipe sharing
2:00-4:00 DIY hands-on activity: seasonally-inspired herbal concoctions, Q&A, final remarks
