Saturday March 23, 2024, 1:00-2:30 $30.00 for 1 Adult and 1 child, over 3 years old We welcome you and your mini me, for a little tea party. Just like Alice in Wonderland, this tea will be magical! The tea will take place in the “garden room” where you will enjoy the sweets and treats of a true Easter tea. We will make homemade pop tarts and monkey tails. Your mini is welcome to bring his or hers “mini” (favorite doll or animal) too! Story hour to follow, after tea. Local author Brea Greer will be here, and she’ll read a few of her books, which will be available for purchase for your Easter baskets if you wish. Bring someone special to this lovely workshop is filled with the charm and deliciousness of England. From sipping English teas and enjoying the antique lace table coverings and antique dishes, to learning the art of making a variety of different kinds of English breads, scones, and the frills that go with an English Tea. Whether you have been to one of our tea classes already or are new to this experience, you will recognize the beauty of this class. New High Tea dishes and delights will be created in this workshop. Saturday May 18 10:00-11:30am | $45.00 The delight of the vineyard in the spring is truly magical. As the buds burst forth, to bring the promise of fruit to come, the blue birds flutter up and around the newly born leaves, and the sweetest little Baby Doll sheep roam freely seeking the fresh green grass. This workshop is for those of you who love organic, clean eating. Learn how to grow your very own grapes, when and how to harvest the leaves for delicate dishes, and how to preserve the juice. There is so much more to growing grapes than just making wine. You will have the opportunity to taste a variety of grape juice. This morning, we will start in the kitchen, and then end up in the vineyard. Dress casually and for fun! *NEW OFFERING: Piano Lessons
Adult Summer Piano Lessons Have you always wanted to learn piano, or need a little brush up from piano that you learned long ago? This summer may be the summer to bring beautiful music into your life. Please call 920-427-2380 to set up a lesson time for you. This offer is good for June, July, and August only. Half-hour lessons. $25.00 per person per class. Payment not available through PayPal but rather in person. Summer Munchkins, Music and Munches Piano Classes Introducing piano and music to first grade through fourth grade students. These fun group lessons will meet one time per week for 45 minutes per week. By the end of summer, they will know the basics of piano, and will be able to play a few fun songs. They will have keyboard time and theory time with snacks. Classes are offered on Monday afternoon 5:30-6:15, and Tuesday mornings 9:15-10:00 each week in June, July and August. Classes will be offered Monday mornings 10:00-11:30 | $150 includes all 5 classes June 17-Juy22nd (No classes week of July 4th) These classes are for teenagers and pre-teens that always want to be in the kitchen, and are serious about learning the basics of baking, cooking, serving, entertaining and etiquette. Each week a different and fun aspect of food will be introduced. They will learn making pasta, how to create a charcuterie board, make Pop Tarts and other great breakfast items and much more. Thursday June 20 6:00-7:30pm | $60.00 Per Person Have you ever hear, “Oh! You’re Gluten Free. That’s too bad!” Or “When is this gluten free fad going away?” Ha! Crazy, right? Or perhaps you want to learn to bake and cook gluten free options for yourself, or a friend or for a family member. Taking delicious meats and vegetables, a step farther by making salts which will make tender and more flavorful food and garnishing your dishes with the right summer sauces. Thursday July 11 6:00-7:30pm | $60.00 Per Person Someone once asked me “What is your food story?” We all have a food story, whatever it may be. In the summer with all its parties and celebrations, we love our food! This workshop is fabulous in that it will show you how to create that board, for your special events. Taste, color, texture, and so much more, makes an eye appealing board and a tasty one as well. We will create boards that are breakfast themed, as well as party and dinner themed. A pure charcuterie is meat. But in this workshop, we are taking it to a different level of fun and pizzazz! This makes for a great date night or girls’ night out! *Antiques and Arepas and Flat Breads
Thursday July 18 6:00-7:30pm | $60.00 Per Person Join us on this lovely July evening, to experience the old-world surrounds of Givens Farm and enjoy Arepas which is a “flat corn bread” from Venezuela. We will be making arepas, as well as other flat breads and flavors from around the world. Flatbreads are the world’s oldest breads. They have been around for over six thousand years. Flatbreads are simple and straightforward to both prepare and eat. What a great way to dazzle your dinner guests, when you add a special touch of warm flatbread to your dinner. They also are a great way to get your children involved in bread making as well. Yum! Come and explore this enormous world of flatbread with us! I think you will get hooked!
